Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Houyxai to Pak Beng
At 8:00 am, you will meet our English-speaking team with a welcome sign at the Chieng Khong immigration office. They will assist you in exiting Thailand and getting a taxi or shuttle bus to the Lao border. Our guide will help you apply for the visa (Visa fee not included). After obtaining the visa, the guide will accompany you on a shared taxi for a short transfer to the slow boat pier to board the boat.
In the morning, a quick lecture on Do's and Don'ts in Laos and fun facts will be presented by our team.
A traditional Lao lunch set will be served on board.
Before reaching Pak Beng, we will make a stop to visit the Khmu village (Ban Keang Lae), a small and cozy place that is home to about 70 families. Travelers will have the opportunity to learn about rural lifestyle in a very remote area.
The boat will arrive at Pak Beng before nightfall.

Day 2 - Pak Beng to LuangPrabang
Boat will depart from Pak Beng at 8:00 am. Experience the stunning nature and jungle along the journey. In the morning, our guide and chef will give a brief demonstration on preparing traditional Lao desserts and local drinks that travelers will enjoy later in the afternoon.
The first stop will be at Ban Baw village, a diverse yet harmonious blend of three ethnicities: Lao Loum, Shan, and Tai Lue. The village is renowned today for its production of Lao Lao whisky.
Following the visit, a traditional Lao lunch set will be served on board.
In the afternoon, the boat will make a second stop at the Pak Ou cave (Tham Ting) and its collection of over two thousand Buddha statues. This site holds significant importance as a pilgrimage destination for the Lao people.
After the visit, indulge in homemade desserts and drinks prepared by our team and fellow travelers.
The boat is scheduled to reach Luang Prabang before 4:30 pm. Our guide and driver will then transfer you to your accommodation, marking the end of the tour.
