Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Custom, culture, livelihood and cave.
Your day will start at the morning market where you will learn about local foods, From there you will drive to Vat Mai followed by a pleasant rural drive to Pak Ou Cave, one of the most popular caves in Luang Prabang, your Guide will take you down to the river bank and take a small boat across the river to the cave and enjoy the exercise and the history.
On the way back to town we will stop at Ban Xang Hai to sample some local rice whiskey and Ban Xang Kong to learn about natural paper making, then it’s on to town for a lunch break and some time to rest.
This evening we will climb Phou Si for a panoramic view of Luang Prabang at sunset and descend to the Night Market were you are free to explore, shop and try out some local street food.
Day 2 - Religion, Learn about rice and waterfall
Waking up early this morning we will head out to watch the monks routine of collecting alms from the villagers. After breakfast back at the hotel, we will explore Wat Xieng Thong and the National Museum.
We will then head out of town to Kuang Sii Falls stopping at Living Land to learn about local rice farming. Once at the falls you can cool off with a swim and visit the Beer Rescue Centre. Leaving the Falls we head to enjoy a Lao banquet on a small farm with your personal chef Ms La. you will enjoy 5 traditional Lao dishes with fresh fruits in season.
After a relaxing lunch we will head back to the hotel.
